Between the Sheets

Between the Sheets

Between the Sheets, a long forgotten cocktail that first appeared during Prohibition at Harry's New York Bar in Paris, is a derivative of the sidecar that uses equal parts rum and cognac. We swapped out the traditional orange liqueur for Mommenpop Seville Orange to deliver a bitter citrus finish for a crushably tart sour.

Ingredients

oz Mommenpop Seville Orange
.75 oz aged rum
.75 oz cognac or brandy
.5 oz lemon juice

Process

Combine all ingredients into cocktail shaker with 5-6 ice cubes.
    Shake hard for 10 seconds.
Strain into a chilled coupe glass and garnish with a lemon twist.
