This summertime refreshment based on the classic gin fix was invented in the 80s by London bartender Dick Bradsell (his original required crème de mûre blackberry liqueur). But here in California where you'll find the juiciest of berries, we opted for a farmers market fresh version with sweet, plump blackberries, that pair beautifully with the aromatic notes of Meyer Lemonpop. Serve this over pebble ice for the ultimate adult shaved ice.
Ingredients
1 oz Meyer Lemonpop
2 oz gin
.5 oz simple syrup
.5 oz lemon juice
3 fresh blackberries
Process
Muddle simple syrup, blackberries, and lemon juice in a bucket or double old-fashioned glass.
Add Meyer Lemonpop and gin.
Add pebble ice and stir once or twice.
Garnish with a fresh blackberry.
