This Tiki classic's original recipe contains a boatload of rum, which if you have the constitution to drink that much spirit, as well as the time to invest in recovery from the hangover that follows it, we say more power to you! If, however, you're a busy mom of two with various brands to run like our fearless founder Samantha Sheehan who loooooves Tiki but can't indulge in it too often, we have a solution. Swap out most of the rum for Limepop, which pairs beautifully with both passion fruit and aged rums. Dress it up however you like - it can be as simple as a mint sprig, or go all out with silly straws, umbrellas, and pretty tropical flowers to wow anyone that tries it!
1.5 oz Makrut Limepop
.5 oz Agricole rum
.5 oz Jamaican rum
.75 oz lime juice
.75 oz passion fruit syrup
.5 oz Velvet Falernum
Combine all ingredients in a cocktail shaker with 3-4 ice cubes. Shake hard for 5 seconds.
Strain into an ice-filled tiki mug or chilled stemless wine glass. Add a straw and more pebble ice.
Garnish with a bushy bouquet of mint, cinnamon stick, and whatever else feels fun!
