Reverse Sidecar

Reverse Sidecar

The Sidecar is traditionally made with good French Cognac, orange liqueur and lemon juice, the exact origins of the cocktail are unclear, however the Hotel Ritz in Paris claims it’s invention and it became a popular tipple around World War I, getting its name from the motorcycle attachment. The combination of Cognac and Seville Orange is a match made in heaven!

1.5 oz Mommenpop Seville Orange
.75 oz brandy or cognac
.75 oz lemon juice
.5 oz simple syrup
2 dashes
orange bitters

Combine all ingredients in a cocktail shaker with 5 ice cubes and shake hard for 10 seconds.
Strain into a chilled coupe glass.
Garnish with an orange twist expressed over the glass and placed on the rim.
